This is our favorite spot for ramen, especially when the weather is cold or we are down with the flu.
They have the best broth and the ramen here is springy and never soggy. Steve and the rest of the crew do an amazing job of getting guests seated quickly and takes good care of us.
They do get quite busy during dinners and especially on weekends. I recommend coming by a little early to avoid the lines if you drop by to have some ramen.
Best times for ramen we have found so far:
Weeknights: 6pm or after 9pm
Weekends:
-Lunch: when they open at 12:00pm or 1:30/2pm
-Dinners get really busy, recommend coming as soon as they open or later to avoid big crowd
Service: 4.5/5
Food: 4.5/5
Cost: 5/5
Ambience: 3/5 -

Went with a group of friends. I liked that the server asked if we wanted separate tabs.
Ryugin is my go-to for ramen. The miso ramen is my fave. -

Bad experience. Stopped in during a slow time and sat outside with my friend. I really dislike the flavor of fish and I am highly allergic to shell fish. I explained to my waiter my preference and allergy issue and I was told they served NO fish.
We accepted his recommendation for a couple of dishes, one was decent the other tasted like fish. When he came back I told him it tasted fishy and he that was because They use fish oil. WTF? I told him I did not want it so he took it away.
When he brought the bill he charged me for the dish. I brought it up and he offered to take a dollar off the price. I didn't feel like arguing. I spend $5-700 a month dining out Downtown. Not a penny of it will go here again. Too many good places that listen to their customers. -

Came here last night with a friend. This restaurant was busy even on a Monday night! It tells me the food must be really good. And it was! My friend and I both ordered the Kuro (black garlic) Tonkotsu ramen and an appetizer of Tako Yaki. The broth of the ramen was savory and the Tako Yaki. was delightful. I honestly heard of Tako Yaki from Japanese anime and I really wanted to try this Japanese street food.
Kuro Tonkotsu Ramen: *****
Tako Yaki: *****
Decor: ***** (very casual)
Service: ***** (awesome service)
16/16 stars, 100%! Will definitely come back and also recommend to friends and family! -

Classic Japanese ramen house. Very good ramen. I picked one of the classic and most common choices. The spice had just the right amount of heat. Great place for lunch or dinner
